Aftercare
We offer an extended-day after-school program for parents needing childcare assistance. This program runs from 3:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Program Overview
Mission Statement:
Our After Care Program aims to create a safe, fun, and educational environment for our FCA students, allowing parents who work late to eliminate the worries of who will take care of their child after the school day. Your child will have dedicated times for snacks, homework, and games and activities.
Tuition:
$20 non-refundable registration fee per student.
Full-time tuition (3:45-6:00): $240/month for the first student and $180/month for additional siblings.
Part-time tuition (3:45- 5:00): $140/month per student.
Emergency Drop-In rate: $25/day per child.
All fees are due in your Skyward account by the 10th of each month. If they are not resolved by the 15th of the month, your child may be dropped from the program.
Parents must complete an enrollment form for each child registering for the program.
Enrollment will be limited to 80 students but may increase based on the number of staff.
Schedule:
3:45-4:00- Attendance/Snack
4:00-4:30- Homework time/quiet reading (There is no guarantee that all homework will be completed during this time. Parents will need to check students' work for quality and completion.)
4:30-5:00- Games/Activities
5:00-6:00- Recess/Playground
Policies/Procedures:
- All months will be charged the same rate regardless of the number of school days or holidays.
- Enrollment forms must be completed, and fees must be paid prior to your child's participation.
- There will be no aftercare on early release days.
- Families that consistently run late (more than two times in one month) when picking up their student(s) may be removed from the aftercare program.
- Students are expected to follow the school rules and code of conduct. If a concern arises, staff will utilize a variety of appropriate interventions. If the inappropriate behavior continues and becomes unsafe for your child and/or other students, your child may be removed from the program either temporarily or permanently based on the decision of the Aftercare Director or their designee.
- This program is not a licensed daycare and is exempt from the governance of child-care licensing. It is solely associated with Founders Classical Academy East Lewisville and operated by the stated employees; therefore, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) regulations govern the program.
Late Fees:
- The late fee is $1 per minute for every minute you are late.
- Please make sure to pick up your students on time (by 5 pm for half-time or 6 p.m. for full-time.)
- If you require aftercare for emergencies, such as running late to the car line, you will be charged $25 regardless of the time spent in Aftercare (see Handbook for clarity). Late fees will be applied to your Skyward account.
